Folio Wallet is a comprehensive app designed to simplify the organisation and security of both your wallet and documents. It allows you to scan, organize, and retrieve various items, including Driver’s License, Loyalty cards, Gift cards, Payment cards, ID cards, Membership cards, passports, and essential documents. Whether you’re at home or on the go, Folio keeps your important information at your fingertips.

Your Folio wallet is fortified with military grade security with each card individually encrypted. Only you can access your wallet, not even Folio can view your cards. This ensures peace of mind when accessing your wallet across multiple devices.

Folio wallet distinguishes itself from other wallet apps by not only managing your physical wallet cards but also handling your household documents. Spend 5 minutes adding your cards to Folio, then travel with ease, shop with more rewards, and home management is made simple.

Account

Signing in is a crucial step to ensure the safety and accessibility of your data across devices.

  1. Open your Folio app and select Sign In
  2. Sign In with your Email, and you will receive a verification code to the email address you entered.
  3. Paste the Verification code into Folio.
  4. You account should now be displayed as Signed In. This means you can now access Folio from all of your devices, simply by logging in again.
  5. Setup Recovery Code in case you forget your email and password and need to recover your account.

For existing Folio users upgrading to Folio 2.0: Your current documents and cards will seamlessly transfer during the new update.

⚠️ Please be aware that if you use Folio without signing in, your cards and documents will not benefit from access from any device!

While it’s possible to use Folio without signing in, doing so limits the accessibility of your cards and documents to the device they are stored on. Signing in enables secure backup and access from any device.

If you encounter issues receiving the verification code during the sign-up process, here are some steps to troubleshoot:

  • Ensure your email address is accurate and check your spam folder.
  • Attempt to send another code; use the latest code as older ones may have expired.
  • If the issue persists, tap ‘Contact support’ in the ‘Account’ section of your Folio app for assistance.

If you encounter issues receiving the verification code during the sign-up process, here are some steps to troubleshoot:

  • If the issue persists, tap ‘Contact support’ in the ‘Account’ section of your Folio app for assistance.

Choose ‘Forgot Password’ on the Login screen, and we will send you a link via email to reset your password and regain access to your account.

Deleted documents are stored in Folio ‘Recently Deleted’ menu for 60 days before they expire and will be deleted permanently.

A recovery code is a unique combination of letters and numbers to help regain access to your account if you ever lose your password or face issues with your usual login methods. This adds an extra layer of security and ensures you can recover your account.

Please save your recovery codes with care, treating them similarly to a password in terms of confidentiality and security. This key for your account’s security, and it’s essential to keep it safe in case you need it in the future.

If you’ve registered with Folio, each card and document are automatically saved and encrypted, allowing access from any device. Log in to Folio on your new smartphone using the same credentials for seamless use of all your cards. If you haven’t registered yet, your cards are stored solely on your device.

Using Folio

Folio provides a versatile solution for managing various cards and household documents. Capture and save them effortlessly using the camera or import from your photo gallery. Here’s what you can add:

Wallet:

  • Loyalty cards

Documents:

  • Birth certificate
  • Marriage Certificate
  • Medical and Health Insurance
  • SIM card
  • Passwords
  • Any other essential documents using the Custom category

Adding cards and documents to Folio is a simple process. Follow these steps:

  1. Open the Folio App and click on the ‘+’ button (iPhone) or “+ Add Document” (Android).
  2. Scroll through and select from the list of categories.
  3. Add your card or document using a picture from your gallery or by scanning with your smartphone camera.
  4. Customise the default colour and add additional fields for more details.

Digitise your physical wallet by scanning both the front and back of your cards for convenient access all in one place. For household documents, scan multiple documents at once to save time.

Input the expiry date under “Edit” for your Gift cards, Loyalty cards, Passport, Driver’s License, and other crucial documents. Select “Allow Notifications and customise reminders by specifying the number of days, weeks, or months in advance you’d like to receive them.

Your Folio wallet is available without an internet connection, allowing you to access and use all your stored cards and documents conveniently when needed.

Tap the three dots located in the top right corner of your screen and choose ‘Edit.’ You can then rearrange the positions of your cards within each category by holding and dragging.

For adjusting the order of Categories, click on Folio in the top left corner of the screen, to return to the Home Screen. Select ‘Edit’ in the top left corner, and simply hold and drag categories to arrange them according to your preference.

Troubleshooting

Folio automatically captures information from your cards when scanning with your camera or adding from the photo gallery. Additionally, you can manually input more details by adding extra fields.

If Folio is unable to capture your barcode, you can manually add it by selecting “Edit” and entering your barcode number. Alternatively, you can try rescanning your barcode.

Should it ever happen that a store refuses to accept your digital card and documents in Folio contact Contact Support in the Account section in Stocard and let us know in which store and in which country this has happened.

Our team will then try to find a solution with the store or authority in question.

We always try to prevent any app crashes. Your assistance in identifying the issue’s origin is valuable.

• Please provide detailed information about the bug, such as when the app crashes (e.g., after a specific action).
• If an error message appears in Folio, kindly include a screenshot.
• Avoid uninstalling the app without registering an account first, as it will result in data loss. For further assistance, contact support@folio.id, including your device type and app version in your email.

If you find your documents appearing grey after the recent update, we’ve identified and resolved the issue. Follow these simple steps to regain access:

  1. Update the App: Ensure you have the latest version of the app installed
  2. Open Folio: Launch the updated app.
  3. Click Reactivate Link on mobile: Visit https://folio.id/rp/reactivate on your mobile device to reactivate your documents.

We have experienced some occasional migration issues with some older app versions of the app.

If you’ve backed up your account, there’s hope for recovery:

  1. Update the App: Ensure you have the latest version of the app installed
  2. Open Folio: Go to “Settings” and select “Restore from Backup”.
  3. Enter Old Account Details: Use the email and password connected to your previous Folio account.
